On this "Behind the Collection", we're taking on the In Full Bloom collection: Pamela Wirjadinata x Love and Flair. The head-to-toe collection marries together featured 8 most-renowned local Indonesian brands with business owner and influencer Pamela Wirjadinata serving as the muse and source of inspiration. This time, the floor is gifted to Saya Tales; a fashion brand based in Jakarta who prides itself as a tale of self-discovery. Here's the short and sweet Q&A sesh:
How would you describe Pamela and how did her personal style impact the designs we see in this collection?
Pamela has such a classy & feminine side and that's what inspired us in this collection. We reimagined the classics, playing with silhouettes through different fabrics, cuts and looks that represent Pamela's personality.
The colour palette in this collection is stunning! What inspires it?
The colour palette is inspired mostly by Pamela’s soft and feminine personality as well as to welcome her upcoming wedding reception. Thus, we decided to combine the classic black and white accompanied by the soft blue color as the color palette for our collection with the hope that it will become a part of the upcoming wedding reception.
Your pieces in this collection are all super cohesive and the craftsmanship looks insane! What was the creative process like and how was your experience working with Pamela for her first collaboration ever?
To be honest, this is our very first collaboration. Luckily for us, we have Pamela as our main inspiration where she and her teams were very helpful for our thought processes. Completed by her distinctive style it is quite easy for us to have the same opinion on what concept we should bring to the table.
What do you hope people will feel when wearing pieces from this collection?
To have them feeling empowered, confident and sparking positivity - embracing connections between them, their bodies and the people they come to interact with. In Saya, we believe that what we wear starts our day and should be comfortable, projects our individuality and makes us feel effortlessly sexy from the inside.
